The event was hosted in Lindsey Blaine's K-2 classroom where the Nikolaevsk middle school sat with their "littles" to learn about the author, literary themes, cultural context, and reading fluency.

The event wrapped up with a maker challenge: Who can make the tallest Truffula Tree from cardboard, silly putty, marshmallows, and spaghetti noodles? The Lorax would have been proud at their careful conservation of the mini-marshmallows. Happy #DrSeussDay!
